Overview
Suffusion is the multiverse-level concept describing the presence of Wellspring energy in a person, place, or thing. It is real. It is quantifiable. But for most of history, nobody has had instruments to measure it. They feel it. And how they describe what they feel depends on who they are.
How Different Traditions Feel It
- **Heartcraft**: Warmth. "She's burning with it."
- **Unraveling**: Weight. "She's heavier than she should be. Mathematically."
- **Mending**: Pulse. "Her pulse is deep. I can feel it from across the room."
- **Beastspeak**: Scent. "She smells like a thunderstorm."
- **The Current**: Pressure. "She's got more push than the river."
- **The Bond**: Hum. "She's humming so loud the wind answers."
- **The Veil**: Depth. "She's deeper than anyone I've ever read."
No Formal Units
There are no instruments, no numerical measurements in the early books. Everything is relative: "stronger than Stacy," "the most in Thornwood's history." The imprecision is the point. You don't measure the ocean with a cup.
The word itself has evolved. Aatos's earliest texts use "saturation." Older professors still say it. Current standard is "suffusion." Students just say "warmth" or "heat." Alice lobbies for "pattern density." Nobody cooperates.
